Welcome to the Evergreen state!
Each state needs a competent medical workforce to meet the needs of it's citizens. However, the requirements for some health care professions are not the same in each state. That is why it is important to find out what is required of you as a future or current registered nurse before moving across state lines. Contact information is located at the bottom of this page.
Generally, the following items are required for endorsement:
A registered nurse license - you may retrieve verification from www.nursys.com
Proof of your completion of a nursing program - either a transcript or verification from www.nursys.com
Provide proof of your TOEFL or IELTS scores if your program was not in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, or a commonwealth area in the Carribean.
Verification of passing NCLEX scores
Your license must be active and current
You must have a valid social security number. Applicants without a valid number should click here to discover their options.
For questions regarding endorsement, call the main number located at the bottom of the page. You will be presented with options. You will most likely choose option two first, which sounds like "For nursing commission unit for RN, LPN, advance registered nurse practitioners, or nursing technicians, press two" and then choose option three for applications.
