Each state needs a competent medical workforce to meet the needs of it's citizens. However, the requirements for some health care professions are not the same in each state. Endorsements

  • Completed application

  • 2x2 passport style photo

  • Graduation from a Board Approved RN program

  • Proof of English proficiency if courses were not instructed in English, fore more information click here

  • Passing NCLEX or State Board Test Pool Examination results

  • Licensure in a US territory, state, or the District of Columbia

  • Applicable fees ($275)

  • Verification of licensure through either the Verification of Nurse Licensure by Reciprocity form or www.nursys.com

  • US Social Security number

Renewals should be completed by the day of your birth on even numbered years following your next birthday, it costs $120 and may be completed online, click here

If you need written license verification or a certification of standing for a foreign country or agency other than a state board of nursing, you must send your request to the Board’s office with the required fee of $15.

Effective as of April 4, 2016, all Non-U.S. educated nurses applying for Licensure by Reciprocity must now complete a Commission on Graduate of Foreign Nursing Schools Evaluation (CGFNS). For more information click here

Continuing Competency

You will be required to take 15 hours of continuing education between renewal periods. Click here to learn more about continuing education. CE must include training on the issue of domestic and sexual violence as a condition of licensure and renewal.

This state requires nurses to hold current ACLS certification.
